How we did it...
Take a low maliage 929 road bike that has had a bad day.
Remove the seat unit...
Offer up a GSXR600 K8 seat unit and frame, make a jig to line up all the parts and set the seat height.
and weld it all in place.
Frame removed for painting, and on with the VFR800 swing arms we mod to fit.
Paint the frame and arm and put it back together, ECU needs moving back and loom extending.
New Ohlins front and back added.
On both wheels for the first time, new clocks, yokes, and lights lights.
New home for the key.
New CBR954 clocks fitted after a quick rewire..
New Headlights.
Next on with the GP can, remove the standard...
and on with a development can.
Prototype number 2.
Time to make a bellypan.
then strip it all down, Tidy up the wires, paint and apply decals.
New chain guard and brake lines.
New RME rearsets, ( left over from our Gary Masons BSB bike )
And the finished item.
